EXTRATERARRESTRIAL FULGURITE HYPOTHESIS

OF THE TEKTITES ORIGIN

A review and critical analyses of hypotheses of extraterrestrial origin of tektites is presented. All of them are based on idea that tektites were brought to the Earth by comet. There are some hypotheses on the origin. Due to A. Dovillie and E.P. Izokh tektites are pieces of hardened magma, flooded to the planets surface and later inside comet nuclei erupted to the space. Other idea of F.A. Tsitsin declares that tektites are impactites produced by collision with another comet as cumuflets. By the third hypothesis E.V. Dmitriev tektites are fulgurites bourns on comet-eruptive planet. Care analysis shower that the first hypothesis can not explain the main peculiarity of tektites petrology the deep inhomogeneity of tektites alloy. The second one can not explain absence mineral intrusions in tektites. But the third hypothesis can explain not only mentioned peculiarities but the other ones too. So the extraterrestrial fulgurite is presenter in moor details. It is show that due to lightning shock tektites and streamer-glasses are produced simultaneously. This mechanism allows explanation of origin of any kinds of tektites. Besides that a proposed by M.A. Smirnov mechanism of electrical breaking through shell of comet nuclei is discussed. It seems to be realistic mechanism for glasses production.
